The third concert by Robert Würz and friends starts with Schuberts Winterreise in a duo
by Hui-Chun Lin at the Cello and Robert Würz at the saxophone. In the second part of the

6th March 2010, 8.30 p.m.: SAVVY Contemporary is starting its concert series with „Weite – Tief“ by Robert Würz

SAVVY Contemporary kindly invites you to the first concert of its music serie Robert Würz and friends. The componist and saxophonist Robert Würz who also contributed his musical improvisations to the vernissage of „Understatement hyperbole“, is going to arrange a concert at Savvy´s on every first Saturday of the month from the 6th March on. For every concert he will invite his music-collegues to play along with them for the audience.

The quartet „Weite – Tief“ was set up in 2006 by Robert Würz. It predominatly plays its own compositions. The music is very melodious, imaginative and expressiv. Lyrical, measured pieces in a romantic fashion alternate with droll, colourful and humouros pieces which allow space for improvisations. The cast without a harmony-instrument permits free melodical development and contra-punctuation. Trombone and saxophone complement each other in a complex and original meshwork of sentiments and melodies, embeded in a free breathing and vibrating rhythm-group with bass and drums.
