Unlearning and Being Freed

After a year of deconstructing minds through discourses and research in The Raining Season School – founded by The Forest Creative Loft in Douala, Cameroon –  we are looking forward to sharing the students’ manifesto in response to the SAVVY Contemporary-inspired project For the Phoenix to Find its Form in Us: On Restitution, Rehabilitation and Reparation. The processes of unlearning involved listening, seeing and touching and analytical thinking.

The sessions will consist of talks, performances, music, poetry, drama, painting, design expositions, film, and food. All are invited!

The Raining Season School is a laboratory conceived by Aude Christel Mgba, Kwasi Oyene-Ayeh, Chantal Edie & Zacharie Ngnogue for the project For the Phoenix To Find Its Form In Us: On Restitution, Rehabilitation and Reparation which is initiated by SAVVY Contemporary and funded by the German Federal Cultural Foundation.
