PARTICIPATION The workshop is open to all, but has limited capacity with half of the spots reserved for our neighbours living in Wedding. In the workshop, we will collaboratively create a clay vessel and personalise it. The focus will be on using symbols and colours that remind you of your own roots. We aim to establish a connection between art and history. This course is suitable for beginners as well as advanced participants. Everyone is welcome to express their personal story through the medium of clay.
Isabelle Bapté (she/they) is a French Caribbean/German ceramic and multidisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Born and raised in France, she has lived in Germany for 16 years. Through her work with clay, Isabelle expresses and addresses various topics, including body positivity, diversity, and self-love. She has been invited by the television channels ARD and ZDF to present her ceramic works and is currently creating new pieces in her studio at Gerichtstraße 23, Wedding.
