As a part of this year’s edition of the Bienal de São Paulo, SAVVY Contemporary is honored to present an offering rooted in sonic agency, radical hospitality, corpoliteracy, and forms of collective listening.
At the heart of this gesture is the conviction that the body is an archive – a living repository of memory, histories, and knowledge encoded through rhythm, gesture, trance, and sound. We propose listening not only as an act of hearing but as a practice of corpoliteracy, understood here as “an effort to contextualise the body as a platform, stage, site and medium of learning, a structure or organ that acquires, stores and disseminates knowledge.” [1] This offering unfolds as a choreography of listening, gathering, and movement.
