RITUAL 100% DANÇANTE

SACA SAL is journeying from the dance floors of Berlin to the streets of São Paulo. On the occasion of the 2025 Bienal de São Paulo, and at the invitation of SAVVY Contemporary to create an intervention beyond the designated spaces, SACA SAL will, for two consecutive days, open a portal in front of Casa do Povo – a portal dedicated to musical exchange, ritual, gossip, hanging out, and community. People will be invited to engage with living archives, resonating through SAVVYZΛΛR’s airwaves across different latitudes.

SACA SAL is a musical collective ritual carried by rhythms and echoes from our ancestors that invites for a space of joy and liberation. With music that embraces and carries us, this collective ritual catalyzes and shakes emotions, pains, fears and welcomes them, to be transformed by the body movement and body listening.

SACA SAL is Calamidades Lola & Amuleto Manuela:

Calamidades Lola is a record hunter, dj/selector and radio host born and raised in Barranquilla, a city on the Caribbean coast of Colombia with a powerful culture of celebration and where music is a sure path to joy and liberation. She currently lives in Berlin, and much of her sound that she shares is influenced by her musical roots and her migratory experience. She now is resident at Refuge Worldwide, hosting a radio show called “Ama de Caza”, where she shares her most recent finds on wax and invites djs, musicians and researchers of African diaspora sounds.

Amuleto Manuela is a rare sonic Polymath and Rhythmic Enchantress, sound artist, DJ and curator based in Berlin. Her work includes the crafting of sound sculptures, soundscapes, DJ sets, dance floor celebrations, and collective listening practices. Born and bred in what we nowadays know as Colombia, she grooves and sounds with the will to unlearn and remember ways of inhabiting our collective life experience. She is a sonic researcher and curator at SAVVY Contemporary and hosts the Music Shrine at the Berlin radio Refuge Worldwide.
